Middle Choir- Grades 2 and 3 Students
Middle Choir
The CPS Middle choir is open to students in grades 2 to 4. In this choir we focus on further developing fundamental skills previously learnt in choir/music classes. Middle Choir lesson structure remains the same as for Junior Choir, although the difficulty of warm-ups and repertoire changes. We step it up a notch in Middle Choir, and students learn more difficult songs, and learn to sing in parts. In Middle Choir we start to work on dynamics, and in particular, tone: how to sing in a group. Middle Choir repertoire includes contemporary pieces in both English and French.
